I'm so glad when Daddy comes home...

Me too, Olivia, me too!

Despite rumors to the contrary, Pants is indeed clothed in this picture.

Deja Vu

Sadie and I had an argument when she insisted on wearing this to pre-school this morning.
Notice that it is not one, but TWO gymastics leotards (don't say ballerina leotard like Dustin did, she will be quick to correct you).
When she finally came out in this, I didn't have the heart to argue that she wore it exactly one week ago.
At least this way she didn't have to get naked to go to the bathroom and I'm getting my money's worth out of the tutu.

In the Box

Today I met my new best friend: The Pampers Box.

Olivia has a massive problem. Three tiny balls and only two hands. It's cruel, but it's a fact of life, those tiny baby hands can only hold one ball at a time. No matter how hard she tries and tries she keeps dropping one. And then it rolls. And then she gets frustrated. So today I quarantined her and those tiny balls in a box. When she dropped one. It had nowhere to go... And then she figured out how to throw them over the side. Smart cookie, that one.

Oh, and Olivia has now enjoyed a boxed in choo choo train ride to the fullest. My baby is getting so big.

While the big kids were at school. . .

Sadie and Luke know how to make their own fun.

WHOOPS!

Well I had plans to take pictures of all of us eating our pizookies tonight, but I guess we were enjoying them way too much to remember that. So instead you get what I do when I remember on my way to bed. . .

Ellie was of course still awake so I told her to lay down and I'd take a picture of her. In typical Ellie fashion, she interpreted that to mean, "VOGUE!"

no pictures:(

Olivia is currently snacking on the camera, oooppps.

Rock On

Or in other words, "How we have to wear our hair when we're way over due for a haircut."

Can you see the 800 silly bandz on Nate's arm? Can you believe just a week ago I was *refusing* to give into this ridiculous craze?

Little Helper

There are approximately 7 trillion toys in this house, but Olivia much prefers getting into the craft supplies.

Zen?

Zen? Or negligence? Last night I left Olivia stranded on the floor so I could take care of some bidness, if you know what I mean. When I came back she had wedged herself under the computer desk and was covered in ball point pen. I gave her a quick clean up with some spit shine and then she was off to bed. Well, when I was changing her diaper this morning I realized her legs were still covered. She looked like some amateur modern graffiti experiment.

Since I hadn't brushed my teeth yet, the whole spit shine thing was out of question so I tossed her in the kitchen sink.

Maybe it was the timing, or maybe the water was too warm but Olivia proceeded to take a dump right as I got the shampoo out of her hair. Oh, Olivia. I had to empty the tub and sanitize the sink while holding her royal nakedness on the edge of the sink so we could start over again.

I guess bath time is just far too relaxing.

Oh what a beautiful morning. . .

Ellie is happy because she got Book Club leftovers for breakfast (lemon poppy seed cake).

Nate is happy because he is Star Student this week and today he gets to sit in Miss Jones' reading chair while the other kids ask him questions.

Sadie is distraught because she was playing with her soap bears from Yellowstone and got some in her eyes. She might also be upset over the crazy bed head.

Luke is happy because someone is paying attention to him. "EEEEEESE."

Summer?

These are our awesome hats made by the one and only Kyle Pants. I know it's summer, but it's 70* outside and Olivia's noggin isn't going to squeeze into hers much longer without some Incredible Hulk action going on. Mine, on the other hand, could fit some first class Texas hair underneath it. Note to self: Buy some hairspray today to take full advantage of the situation.

That's what friends are for

Daven came over and as always, the boys played Lego. Nate also had Liberty Bear this week. Liberty Bear is a boatload of work. My favorite part of Nate's school work is that he writes, "Natethan" on everything.

First day of school! First day of school!

"I'm a preschool girl now." Week one and we learned about nocturnal animals, sang the "Rules Rap," read books, tried to trace names. . .
